It should be noted that there are multiple problems other than arthritis that can cause pain to be felt in the area of the knee joint. This issue should first be reviewed with your family physician. The exact diagnosis as to the origin of the pain can only be made after careful clinical evaluation and such investigations that may be required to confirm the diagnosis.
